OVERVIEW
- What: we’re going to document how you should collect video case studies with an email script to set-up the case study call and a couple of follow-up templates
- When: now, so you start collecting video case studies
- How: using email communication + a Riverside online studio (https://riverside.fm)
- Why: case studies are important for two main reasons:
- Credibility – They provide real-world evidence to support your marketing claims and headlines, making your offer more credible & persuasive.
- Social Proof – Insights from clients/customers serve as social proof for your sales & marketing, building trust with your potential buyers.
FLOW OF OPERATIONS
- Create a Riverside.fm account here with an online studio.
- The free plan on Riverside.fm lets you record and edit up to two hours of audio and video with separate tracks for up to 10 participants.
- Think about which clients/customers you’ve delivered results with.
- Contact those over email with the below script. (Note: you can skip this step if you speak to them about this over a call. Some orgs also require permissions for video case studies that you will need to address with the client/customer PRIOR to scheduling.)
Hi {insert name},
{insert personalized opener - for example: “I hope your week ended on a high note and you have exciting plans for the weekend.”}
Would you be open to providing a video case study on behalf of {insert company name}? To make it easy for you, I can prompt you with a few questions during a live, recorded session in our online Riverside studio. This setup ensures high video quality, easy exporting, and we have a video editor on hand. I’ll share the questions ahead of time, along with some tech pointers.
How does this sound? Perhaps we can aim for ~30 minutes next {insert day of week} or {insert day of week}. The actual recording part won't take more than ~5-10 minutes.
Please let me know if that works for you.
Best regards,
{Your name}
